Sophie Difazio is a visual artist based in New Jersey whose work explores the tension between connection and isolation. Using a diverse range of drawing and painting mediums, including oil paint, acrylic, tempera, ink, and colored pencil, she creates detailed pieces that study how light interacts with form. Her practice is informed by themes of nostalgia and family dynamics. Difazio earned her BFA in Communication Design from Washington University in St. Louis in 2025. Through her approach to material and detail, she translates personal and collective memories into visual narratives.
